The Ottoman Turks and the End of the Byzantine Empire
The Ottoman Turks moved from the east and into the west. Under their leader, the Sultan Murad, they were able to take Constantinople and a large part of Macedonia. It was not until the death of Murad at the Battle Kosovo that the Ottomans were able to take Serbia, Bosnia, and Bulgaria. At the end of the 15th century, the Ottomans were threatening Hungary, Austria, Bohemia and Poland.
